Required information for international purchases
The information requested for payments with credit card may vary depending on the buyer's country. In general, the following may be requested:

  • Card number
  • Cardholder name (exactly as it appears on the card)
  • Expiration date (month and year)
  • Security code (CVV), usually located on the back of the card

Payment methods

The available payment options depend on both the buyer's location and the settings defined by the seller of the product.
Important: there is no installment option for international purchases.

Currency conversion and charging

The price set by the seller may be converted, at the time of purchase, to currencies such as dollar, euro, Mexican peso or Peruvian sol, depending on the buyer's country. The exchange rate used is updated daily based on the market.
The charge may appear on the card bill in dollars, being subsequently converted to the local currency according to the exchange rate applied by the bank when closing the bill.

Taxes (VAT / IVA)

In some countries, especially in the European Union, VAT (Value Added Tax) or IVA (Impuesto de Valor Agregado) charge may apply, in accordance with local legislation.
If requested, the VAT number provided must be the VIES, which is the valid code throughout the European Union. Local codes, such as NIF or NIPC, are not accepted for this type of validation.
