Question (FAQ)

Detailed Answer

What is a Chargeback?

It is the final situation where the purchase dispute has advanced and been formalized by the card operator as a chargeback. It occurs when the transaction was not successfully defended by our Pre-chargeback Alert (about 10% of cases).

What is the cost of the Chargeback Fee?

A Chargeback Fee of R$ 60.00 is charged. This value is a direct fee from the acquirer, passed on to the Producer as a penalty for the chargeback received, negatively affecting your account reputation.

How much is refunded if I receive a Chargeback?

When there is a Chargeback request, a full refund is made. The customer has the right to receive back the full amount paid for the purchase. Therefore, the refund is always the Total Gross Value of the transaction. Example: The lead bought *product A *for R$ 100.00 and the producer received, after deducting transaction fees, R$ 80.00. In this case the amount refunded to the lead will be R$ 100.00.

What is the maximum Chargeback limit accepted?

The maximum Chargeback rate accepted by Mundpay is 0.90% (zero point ninety percent).

What happens if I exceed 0.90%?

If your account reaches or exceeds this rate, corrective or increased retention measures may be applied by the acquirers or by Mundpay itself. Our goal is to encourage improvement in transaction quality to prevent higher fines for you.

A chargeback ratio never spikes, it climbs quietly. By the time the platform warns you, three months of damage is already booked. Anyone watching it week by week is never caught off guard.
